In a media saturated world, having a clear message isn't enough. You have to make it stand out from all the background clutter. Otherwise you're wasting your time and money.
Good writing is the most cost-effective tool for doing that, and it requires a writer who works in a wide range of media and knows how to get audiences to listen and to remember what they see and hear.
I'm that writer.
Among the 740+ projects I've completed since 1982 are award-winning video and film scripts, successful speeches, innovative Powerpoint presentations, and web pages, marketing materials, technical articles, Congressional briefings, and educational programs.
As Ray Bradbury said, "Specialization is for insects."
Whether your message is headed for print or the podium, the Big screen, the Web or the boardroom, I can make sure it reaches the people you need it to reach.

- Speechwriters Roundtable Article on PowerPoint® Presentations
At the invitation of The Washington Speechwriters Roundtable, I wrote an article entitled "The Power of PowerPoint." It's a glimpse of my approach to designing visually interesting and effective presentations. You can read the article on the group's website: http://www.washingtonspeechwriters.com/blog/_archives/2005/4/21/569469.html
- New Robert Ausura Photography Web Site
I've been photographing almost as long as I've been writing. Over the past 30 years I've shot more than 11,000 images, but kept them largely to myself. In 2005, at the request of Maryland's Seneca Creek State Park, I mounted an exhibit of some of my most recent work. That led to two exhibits in 2006 and more planned for 2007. But you don't have to travel to Maryland to see my work. Visit my new website at www.ausuraphotography.com.
In May 2005 the Raw Purple production team, a partnership between Robert Ausura Writing and Williams/Gerard Productions, produced a lively and amusing mock Movie Trailer -- "Weed of Deceit" for the Washington, D.C. 48 Hour Film Project competition. Although our entry didn't win, everyone involved -- more than 30 people at four locations -- had a terrific creative experience.
We're so proud of what we did that we returned to the editing suite and produced a "Weed of Deceit" Director's Cut Version, making video and audio corrections that the original 48 hour schedule didn't allow and adding a favorite "lost Scene" and a selection of outtakes that really catch the spirit of the project as it happened.
The "Weed of Deceit " Directors Cut DVD, is available for purchase. It includes the original 4-minute "Weed of Deceit" entry (written, taped and edited in 48 hours), the Director's Cut (with 10.5 additional hours of editing and the "Lost Scene") and outtakes.
To PURCHASE A COPY send a check for $12.50 ($10.00 for the DVD, $2.50 for shipping and handling) made out to "Robert Ausura Writing" to:
